SERVICEMANS GROUP LIFE INSURANCE (SGLI)
Automatic low cost term life insurance for active duty and qualifying Reserve and Guard members. Coverage ends 120 days after separation or retirement.
VETERANS GROUP LIFE INSURANCE (VGLI)
Available after separation. Veterans must apply within 1 year and 120 days; applying within 240 days requires no medical underwriting. Premiums increase every five years with age.
VETERANS AFFAIRS LIFE INSURANCE (VALife)
Enacted Jan 1, 2023 VALife offers whole life insurance for Veterans with
service connected disabilities,
guaranteed acceptance. But there is a two year wait period.

VETERANS BURIAL BENEFITS
VA provides a burial allowance, cemetery eligibility, and headstone for qualified Veterans. The allowance is up to $2,000 for a service connected death or, $1,002 burial + $1,002 plot for non connected. Other than, a dishonorable discharge, is required.

PRIVATE BURIAL INSURANCE
Affordable permanent coverage designed to cover final expenses not covered by the VA. These policies pay a cash benefit ($5,000–$.50,000) directly to your family for any expense. Fixed monthly payment for life and no medical exams.

TERM LIFE INSURANCE
Temporary coverage for a set period, lower premiums, higher face values. Term life pays a large death benefit (often $100,000+) if you die within the chosen period (10, 20, or 30 years). Premiums are affordable but coverage is temporary. (LEARN MORE)
